Happy Halloween!

We had a fun filled Halloween!  The fourth grade teachers dressed up as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  We carved pumpkins and did pumpkin math.  We had many wonderful parent volunteers!  We played Halloween Bingo, did a little costume parade to our 3rd grade teachers and watched Dear Dracula.  Mrs. Daniels came to read to us at the end of the day and we enjoyed delicious ice-cream sundaes thanks to the Halloween Committee!
Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Our Art Adventure teacher, Mrs. Larson came on Wednesday and told us about the sculptor of Mount Rushmore, Gutzon Borglum.

Friday Fun!

On Friday we had a fun day performing our play to the first grade class.  Then our CAP student Will came in to do a visual with us.  We did an art project where we made fall trees using our hand print and tissue paper.  He did a great job teaching us!  We also took a math and spelling test and did a great job!  We took some goofy pictures at the end of the week to show what a FUN FRIDAY we had!!

Media Play

On Friday we performed the play Dr. Seuss's ABC's for the first graders.

Water Treatment Plant

We are very behind on blog posts!! We have been busy in 4th grade. Here are some pictures of our Water Treatment Plant field trip. We met with Mr. Blix in Hartz Park and we did some tests on the river water. He taught us about what a water shed is. Then we went to the Water Treatment Plant and got a tour of how they treat the water and filter everything out of it before it comes into our houses. We were told that the City of TRF can store up to 4.5 million gallons of clean water. Wow! It was a very interesting trip and we learned a lot!
