Christmas Party Week!

Happy Birthday this week to Emma, Cain and Torren!

On Wednesday, we went snowshoeing with Mr. Buhl and Mrs. Bakken's class.  We enjoyed following trails, falling down in deep snow and getting to see our friends in other classes.  We also made the paper today as our Santa letters were published in The Times!

On Thursday, we had our Holiday Party!  We ate almond bark popcorn, drank cream soda and rootbeer from Megan, we watched The Nutcracker (thanks Lydia), had extra iPad time and played Christmas Minute-To-Win-It games.  We also got to watch the 4th and 5th grade Orchestra concert.  Great job Alex V., Mason W., Emma, Giselle and Sydnee!!

The best part of this week was that we didn't have homework!!

I'm Back!

I am so glad to be back at school!  I enjoyed being home with my little guy but I did miss working with my students.  They have welcomed me back with open arms, I got lots of needed hugs this week as it was hard to bring the little one to daycare the first few days!  Now that I am back teaching I plan to use this blog more to post photos, upcoming events and fun happenings in our classroom.  Here are some fun Friday photos of us trying out the new website GeoMotion.

Welcome Every Birdie!

I am so excited to start the 2013-2014 school year with a blog for our classroom.  I know most of your 3rd grade teachers had a blog last year too.  Mrs. Lindsey Johnson helped me start mine and I look forward to having all of us post the great things that will happen in our classroom!!

I have been very busy getting ready for the starting of the school year and will be posting pictures of our classroom in the next couple weeks to show you what it will look like.  Last week some of my friends (maybe you will recognize some of them) and I went to Fargo to do some school shopping.  We had a lot of fun and went to Art and Learn (a great teacher store), Hobby Lobby, the mall and many other great stores finding items for our classrooms.

I hope you enjoy the next couple weeks of summer vacation and I look forward to meeting you all at Open House on Wednesday, August 28th from 3:30-5:30.
